Exhibition at the Pavillon Carré de Baudoin

Pavillon Carré de Baudouin

Because of the confinement and therefore the closing of the exhibition to the public, here you have a virtual visit.

Thought as a consequence of the first confinement and initially planned for November 2020 for the 4th edition of the festival Visions of Exile, which has been unexpectedly interrupted, the exhibition “From one confinement to another” wasn’t really aware of the importance of its name. The artists have had to invent new ways of working, using the means available. They wanted to expose the obstacles that they find in their careers and express their concerns about the consequences of the establishment of the state of emergency against the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Pavillon Carré de Baudouin is glad to host the festival “Visions d’exil” that celebrates the values of humanity and openness that we wish to promote in this cultural space of the 20th district of Paris.
For its fourth edition, the festival addresses the topic of confinement. The singular voices of the artists in exile stimulates us through different artistic forms: painting, photography, dance, drawing, sound creations, comic strip and mixed media. Through their activist, personal or metaphorical point of view on the confinement, they create a shared emotional experience. Art brings us closer, makes us grow up and allows us to question the world around us. This is the goal of the exhibition presented by the agency of artists in exile.
