May Murad
Born in 1984 in Gaza, Palestine, May Murad is a painter. In 2006, she graduated in fine arts at the Al-Aqsa University of Gaza. Apart from her artistic practice, she teaches arts and crafts to children, specially from the art therapy perspective. The residencies that she did at the Jalad Cultural Foundation in Amman, Jourdan, at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and at the Foundation Dufraine of the fine arts Academy of Chars allowed her to develop her work. She participated in exhibitions in Palestine, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. She has settled in France since 2019. Her artwork is inspired by her live in Gaza and the economic, social and political issues that she had to face.
